“Fort William has hopped out of the gate quickly and are off to a great start. Their PP and PK are solid, they have excellent goaltending and obviously a lot of talent with their Forwards and Defense. It’s our opening weekend at home and we’re excited to play against the first place team. That being said, our job is to stay focused and not let these emotions take over our bench.” said Coach Clint Mylymok when asked about the upcoming home opener this Friday night.
The Dryden Ice Dogs will be hosting the first place team, Fort William Northstars Friday and Saturday Night, this weekend. Friday October 2, 2009, that puck will drop at 7:30pm, and the same for Saturday October 3, 2009. Should be quite the barn burner, as both teams are undefeated so far this season. Dryden will be looking to make it 4 wins in a row, and Fort William Northstars will be looking to go 7 Wins in a row. Tickets can be purchased in advanced, at Barrett’s Sporting Goods in downtown Dryden.
Also, don’t miss out on the 400 Club. Currently ( as of Sept. 30, 2009 ), 287 of 400 memberships have been sold.
