For the second consecutive night the Spruce Grove Saints shut out the Oil Barons with a 2-0 victory. Spruce Grove would post a 1-0 lead at the 13:59 mark of the first period with Tim Nolte firing a shot past Oil Baron net minder Joey Quattrocchi.
The defensive battle continued until Adam Henderson scored into the empty net at 19:28 of the third period to seal the victory and waltz out of Thickwood Heights Arena with a 2-0 win.
Next up, the MOB will look to find their scoring touch when they face the Grande Prairie Storm Tuesday Night at Thickwood Heights Arena. Game time is 7:30. GO MOB GO!
