Two players will share the Captain’s duties this season. Nick MacNeil of Creignish, Nova Scotia will wear the Captain’s jersey during Screaming Eagles’ home games while Michael Ward a native of Shippagan, New Brunswick will be the Captain during Screaming Eagles road games.
MacNeil, 20, has been a member of the Screaming Eagles organization since 2005 after being drafted in the 5th round, 79th overall from the Cape Breton West Islanders of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League.
Ward, 20, was acquired in a trade last December from the Lewiston Maineiacs. He was Lewiston’s 2nd round selection, 22nd overall in 2006.
In a related announcement Durocher also named his alternate captain’s for the season as well. Luke Adam and Michael Stinziani will be alternate captains for all games this season, while Francis Meilleur will act as an alternate captain at home and Taylor MacDougall will act as an alternate captain on the road
