Cody Kunyk of the Sherwood Park Crusaders is the recipient of the Source for Sports AJHL Player of the Week award for the week of September 14th – 20th, 2009. Kunyk recorded 3 goals and 9 points in 3 games last week, including 2 game winning goals, 2powerplay markers and 1 short-handed goal.
Kunyk has begun his third season with the Crusaders on a 5-game point streak, totaling 12 points. Kunyk recorded two 4-point games last week and led the Crusaders to three consecutive wins. Kunyk leads the AJHL in Scoring with 12 points, and an average of 2.4 points per game.
Cody Kunyk is committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for the 2010/2011 season.
