The Eagles however have something to build on from last season as they won the last three games of the season battle against the Thunderbirds.

Fri Sep 18 North Bay Trappers Manitoulin Islanders 7.30 PM
The battles between these two teams at the Little Current-Howland Complex have been very close for the most part with the Islanders pulling off a big 5-4 shootout victory in the final meeting of the season last year.
The victories for the most part by the Skyhawks on the road have been close battles and while they have come up with victories they have been of the two goal differential or less in many cases.
Fri Sep 18 Kal Tire Sudbury Jr. Wolves Temiscaming Royals 8.00 PM
The Royals enjoyed a very successful season against the Jr. Wolves last season winning three times and losing twice both at home and on the road to record the season series victory.
Goals, goals and more goals was the theme last year in both buildings with all games in Temiscaming resulting in totals of 11 or more goals, and neither team scoring less than five while in Jr. Wolves home games the total scores were all over seven.
Sat Sep 19 Manitoulin Islanders Soo Eagles 7.30 PM
The Islanders were not very successful against the Eagles in last year’s confrontations , however after two early blowouts in the first three games the rest of the nine contests were entertaining affairs and the Islanders picked up single victories at home and on the road in the final meetings of the season.
The games were high scoring affairs and more of the same can be expected in this seasons series.
Sat Sep 19 Kal Tire Sudbury Jr. Wolves Blind River Beavers 7.30 PM
Over the past three seasons these two teams have battled to a virtual tie with no winners being declared in the season series.

Sun Sep 20 Manitoulin Islanders Soo Thunderbirds 7.00 PM
Reggie Leach and his Islanders hockey club will be looking to break a lengthy losing streak against the Thunderbirds that has now reached 23 games with the Islanders not having won since January 21, 2007 when they picked up a 4-2 victory at the John Rhodes Complex.
A lack of scoring power saw the Islanders keep the contests close in the first couple of periods before the Thunderbirds outscored them in the final period.
Sun Sep 20 North Bay Trappers Blind River Beavers 2.00 PM
When the Skyhawks have gone to the Blind River Memorial Centre in recent seasons one thing has been certain, the games will be close and likely move into extra time.
In the last seven games played at the Beavers home arena, four have gone into extra minutes with the Beavers winning the only overtime game and also having a winning record in shootouts two games to one.
The Beavers will be looking to stop a four game losing streak that covered last seasons four games against their Eastern rival.
