"We started the game strong and we definitely carried the play the entire game and we made them pay on the power play. I was very happy with our effort tonight especially how physical we played all night. Tomorrow will be a tough test for us as we face the defending champions the New Jersey Hitmen" commented Head coach Jason Tatarnic.

As far as the tounament showcasing players the Woodstock Slammers have confirmed over 50% of eligible players have interest from NCAA scouts. "Several scouts have contacted us on a number of our players and in my opinion it's a great tounament to provide exposure. The EJHL had four players drafted to the NHL last season and placed over 52 players in the NCAA after the 2007-2008 season" added Tatarnic.
