Brandon Kozun had a goal and two assists to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 4-2 win over the Oil Kings in Edmonton Saturday night.
Ian Schultz scored the game winner for Calgary breaking a 2-2 third period tie with just under four minutes remaining.
Tyler Fiddler, with his fourth goal of the season, and Ben Wilson, with his first goal in the WHL, also scored.
Martin Jones made 23 saves to record the win.
Calgary is now 2-0 and will have nearly a week to prepare for Friday’s trip into Medicine Hat for a date with the Tigers.
