(OHL) COLTS TAKE ICEDOGS IN OVERTIME 5-4......

The Barrie Colts moved to 2-0 on the season after a 5-4 overtime win in St. Catharines against the IceDogs. Niagara got off to a very quick start, but Barrie came back with four goals in the second period and took a 4-2 lead in to the third. The IceDogs, however, would mount a comeback to square the game at four and eventually send it to overtime.

After scoring four of Barrie's nine goals on Thursday night, Luke Pither racked his season goal total up to seven with a hat-trick, including the overtime winner. All three of Pither's goals came on the powerplay, as Barrie went three for six with the extra man.

Rookie sensation Alexander Burmistrov had a game he won't soon forget, as he was in on all five Barrie goals. The Russian center scored twice and assisted on all three of Pither's goals.
