As Main Camps around the league are finishing up, and the S.I.J.H.L regular season just two weeks away, teams are seeing what their Preseason Rosters can do. The Dryden Ice Dogs had the first set of exhibition games against the Dauphin Kings of the M.J.H.L last weekend, which seen the two teams split the weekend series. Friday night in Winnipeg, the Winnipeg South Blues hosted the Fort William Northstars in exhibition play. The Blues walked away with a 6-2 win over the S.I.J.H.L 2008-2009 Champions Fort William Northstars. The Northstars will now regroup, and head to Portage to face the M.J.H.L Portage Terriors. In other exhibition action, the Fort Frances Jr. Sabres will play host to the Sioux Lookout Flyers at the Ice For Kids Arena, in Fort Frances Friday Night. The Fort Frances Jr. Sabres will then travel to Sioux Lookout Tuesday September 8th, 2009 for their second game of the 2 game set against the Sioux Lookout Flyers.
As for your Dryden Ice Dogs, they are preparing to travel to Sioux Lookout Friday Sept. 11, 2009 to face the Sioux Lookout Flyers, then return to Eagle Lake Sunday September 13, 2009 to host the Sioux Lookout Flyers, all apart of the 2009-2010 S.I.J.H.L Preseason Schedule. The Ice Dogs will kick their Regular season off, Tuesday September 22, 2009 in Sioux Lookout!
